My commitments

Coral reefs around the world are in danger because of global warming.

Warming waters and ocean acidification can cause coral bleaching events . Stressed by changes in its environment (temperature, salinity, light, pollutants), the coral separates from its algae and appears a brilliant white. This is harmful to the animals that depend on these corals for survival.

Even though it is impossible to stop global warming, we can revive reefs by replanting healthy corals to help the marine ecosystem and the survival of animals.

Researchers are now developing new methods based on assisted evolution, selecting species or strains of coral resistant to heat waves, and replanting them to recreate diverse reefs.

These are the missions of the Coral Gardeners association.

On Moorea, an island next to Tahiti, there are several aquatic nurseries where teams of Coral Gardeners grow and plant resilient corals to revive reef ecosystems.

Cultured pearls have a close link with the aquatic ecosystem, which is why, for TAKOIA PERLES, it became obvious to participate in the rescue of coral reefs, particularly in French Polynesia.

The first "TAKORAIL" was placed in the nursery on July 1st, 2025 and is currently being fattened:

I plan to make further sponsorships depending on the growth of the company, I will inform you of each adoption here.
